This is one of the few on the mark reviews of this album I've seen on the web. Other reviewers keep talking about how this album is the follow up to Urban Discipline and SOTWA, which is pure nonsense. There are some token hardcore songs and some awful parts where Evan raps to try to keep the old fans happy (didn't work). The other songs showcase the band's musical and lyrical "growth" (no one wants to hear the "mature" ponderings of a porn star), which often just amounts to nu-metal choruses that make an old fans' heart sink in his chest. Instead I would like to beat my chest and yell along with gang vocals about Brooklyn. But those days are gone, the bands is not in Brooklyn, and even Brooklyn today is not in Brooklyn. Biohazard in 2012 has been "reborn" as a boring metal band. They should have aborted that fetus on the cover.

And to think THIS is what he dumped his other band for? wow, that just makes no sense an somehow I knew this would be the case with this album. Ironically I had never ever heard of Wolfsbane before & perhaps this is the reason why.

Having read reviews of the new UFO album and seen the almost universal praise heaped on it, I tend to think this review can probably be disregarded.
When a reviewer states, "I am not, on any level, a fan that’s been there from the start of this band. They are OK, but certainly not a band I’ve ever considered to be great by any level" - then (apart from admiring his ability to make himself look a fool), we know the mentality of the reviewer we are dealing with, wrong on every level, and somewhat unable to construct a grammatically correct sentence to boot.
But hey ho, you can but feel sorry for Chris.

I'm pretty much over this band, though I still enjoy most of their music, so I didn't have a lot riding on this album, emotionally. I think a lot of people were so excited for this, and yet so afraid at the same time, that they're going apeshit saying how wonderful it is, simply because it doesn't suck. And it doesn't. I was pleasantly surprised. I like that it's heavy and fast-paced. But I have trouble remembering many of the songs afterward. "Tattoo" is a lame song though, and a terrible choice for first single. "Stay Frosty" is cool, except for that "Uh, uh, uh! Uh, uh, uh!" shit. But other than that, and maybe there not being as many hooks overall as there could have been, I think it's a solid disc. Time will tell, but I think it'll go the way of Black Ice, Sonic Boom, Final Frontier, and maybe even the last Heaven And Hell album: we won't be spinning it this time next year.

Been following your site and reviews for a few weeks now, and want to say thanks for turning me on to this band (I'm a Christian and huge fan of rock/metal) and a few others I may have never heard about through your writings.

Normally I don't appreciate reviewers waxing personal feelings, but you are able to remain objective nevertheless (i.e.: Nikki Sixx comes immediately to mind!).

Keep up the good work!

I can dig your analogy exactly on this one right down the Testament references. I too was very interested in hearing what this was gonna sound like & it is very reassuring to know how high n mighty you think of this album. Will have to get this one as soon as possible.
